Family planning — Family plan
Meals, recipes, chores, and the family calendar.
Practical household life lives beside the school plan. Meal planning, grocery lists, the recipe box, family events, and chore charts are organized in the Planner and protected by the Family plan.
Meal planning is aware of the fasting calendar. When a day is a fast day, AGAPAY marks it and pulls from your fast-friendly recipes. When wine and oil are allowed, it notes that too.

Grace Mode
Your plan should serve your family, not punish it.
When the full plan no longer fits the day, Grace Mode lets you lighten it without deleting work or pretending the plan never existed. Choose Light, Minimum, or Feast Only — AGAPAY automatically adjusts which subjects are kept, reduced, or deferred based on the priority you assigned each one in Setup.

How planning works
Two layers. One household. Total flexibility.
AGAPAY Learn uses a two-layer model. Shared enrichment — Church rhythms, read-alouds, catechesis, hymns — is planned once for the household. Core subjects are assigned by Form, grade, or individual child.
Family-based
Shared learning for everyone together: Church rhythms, morning basket, read-alouds, catechesis, hymns, saints, poetry, artists, and nature walks.
Form-based or grade-based
Group children at a similar stage into Forms and plan their core subjects once — or keep traditional grade and level assignments if you prefer.
Individual child tracks
Assign specific books, subjects, or tasks to a single child where needed. Child-level lesson sheets print from the Print Center.
Church calendar backbone
Both Julian and Revised-Julian calendars are supported. Feast days, fasting rules, and season markers shape every view in the planner.
Community
A moderated library of trusted Orthodox homeschool resources.
The Community page gives families access to a growing, vetted library of Orthodox homeschool resources — curricula, books, unit studies, videos, and guides. Vetted resources are marked with a gold stripe. Families can submit resources for review and discuss them in the AGAPAY Facebook group.

The AGAPAY Learn Setup Wizard walks you through your household in five steps. When you finish, Learn can create a real, editable starter week — not a demo.
Household basics
Name your household, choose your Church calendar (Julian or Revised-Julian), and set your school year dates.
Method & groups
Choose Charlotte Mason, Orthodox Classical, Traditional, Eclectic, or Unsure. Pick Forms or grade levels.
Add your children
First name, age, grade or Form. The free plan includes up to two children; Family plans are unlimited.
Grace Mode
Learn how Grace Mode works and choose your household default. You can change it any day.
Starter week
Optionally create a real editable first term — Morning Prayers, Daily Readings, Saint of the Day, read-aloud, nature walk, and starter subjects for every Form or grade.
Advanced Setup
Add subjects, books, formation materials, enrichment blocks, and terms. Connect Google Calendar when ready. Set Grace Mode priorities per subject.
Optional Google Calendar Sync
Your plan can travel with your family calendar.
When a signed-in parent chooses to connect Google Calendar, AGAPAY Learn requests only the Calendar events permission. It creates and updates selected lesson blocks, term dates, feast days, and reminders in the user's primary calendar, and checks previously synced AGAPAY Learn events to prevent duplicates. Calendar connection is optional; AGAPAY Learn works without it. AGAPAY Learn does not sell Google user data or use Google Calendar data for advertising. Users may disconnect or revoke access at any time.
